Absence/Presence
Statement:
Memory is a mutable lens- what we recall is never quite what happened. Similarly in the process I use, the fabric and cicada shells burn away, leaving a somewhat altered ceramic index of their past presence. This series is a visual exploration of how we relate to and manipulate memory.
